Best Fireproof Safe 2014

If you have extremely valuable items, then you would probably be well advised to keep them in a bank safety deposit box. However, there are plenty of items that you will want to have handy - but which you would not want to have damaged by fire or flood.

Important papers, such as insurance certificates, passports, driving licences etc. will be much handier if you can keep them in the house. A fireproof safe should offer you enough protection to keep this type of documentation safely at home.

Any other valuables that you do have in your home will also be better off in a safe. In terms of security against theft, most home safes aren't able to offer any strong guarantees - but what they certainly will do is to slow down any robbery.

Most home safes will survive for at least fifteen minutes against attack using common household tools. The majority of burglars like to get into and out of a property as quickly as possible. It's quite likely that they will choose another, easier, option rather than wasting valuable time trying to crack open a safe - which they know will likely be full of documents for the reasons discussed earlier.

If you're choosing a fireproof safe for your family home, be sure to pick one that has been tested to UL standards. The tests will include a fire test and also a drop test.

The fire withstand test will measure how hot the inside of the safe gets during a fire. How high you can let this go will depend upon what you intend to store in the safe. Paper documents will be good up to about 350F. If you're going to be storing DVDs or other data media, you might want a safe that will limit the temperature to a lower value - say 125 - 150F.

The drop test may or may not be important for you. During a fire, buildings can be subject to collapse - or the floor may give way. If your safe is housed on one of the upper floors, it may fall all the wy to ground, or even basement, level. Clearly it needs to survive this and not burst open.

Here are some of the best fireproof safes 2014 for your info. See if there's anything there that would meet your needs.

Invicta Left Handed Watches

Invicta left handed watches
Left handed watches make a great, and very thoughtful, gift for any left handed person.

Roughly speaking, about 10% of the population are left handed. Nobody knows exactly why some people are right handed and others are left handed - but it's interesting to note that chimpanzees display left and right handed characteristics in similar proportions to humans.

Right handed people wear their watches on their left wrist in order to be able to tell the time without stopping what they're doing with their "main" hand. For example, telling the time whilst writing, drinking a cup of coffee, or just flicking through the channels on the TV is a lot easier when you're watch is on your "secondary" wrist.

Off course, lefties can just wear a "standard" watch on their right hand - but then the controls are on the wrong side of the watch for easy access using their left hand.

The solution is to get a left handed watch, one which has the controls in the correct position for wearing on the right wrist. Fortunately, there are plenty of different left handed watches available - and these don't cost anymore than standard right handed watches.

Listed below are a few examples of Invicta left handed watches for you to have a look at. Invicta has a really wide range of watches for lefties. There are lots of different colors and styles available.
